Haven's Sleep over

Yum Yum
Washing it down with some Milk
Sweet Haven
Mozart
Dueling banjo's anyone?
Our biggest animal lover and Haven
Haven and Lava Girl
Feeding the kittens
waiting to see if they come

Haven was lucky #1 and enjoyed an overnight visit with Gma and Gpa. I'm not sure the chronological order, but maybe Mom can sort it out and edit it for me. (emily typing)

After being picked up they went home and Haven played instruments to her hearts content. The banjo is always a hit. Then she got to feed the kitties some milk and she hid behind a pillar so the kitties would come and drink and not get scared.

The next day she went to see the animals, not too far from here there is a fun little place with goats, donkeys, emus, cows, buffalo, and you guessed it Camels! And more! The kids love to go and feed the animals carrots. Our kids have named some of the animals there is the emu=smiley, donkey=lava girl, donkey=spider man, goat=Jacob, ostrich=Harriette, etc. Oh yeah and she saw a ZeDonk! (zebra, donkey mix)

Haven enjoyed watching movies, & the kittens outside. Haven got to share Gpa's bed and in her own words "He didn't like me sleeping with him, cause I kicked him in the bum and head" She is a snuggle bug.

My Ode to Dad for Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Dad! Honestly I am sure I have THE BEST in-laws on this planet, they are so fantastic, they are always ready to help out and treat me as if I were their very own. They are two of my best friends. Dad, I will never forget how lovingly you accepted me into your family when we first met. The love was immediate and it didn't even have to be earned (holes in my jeans and all). You hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you for taking the kids on adventures and playing chase and dinosaur with them, and for all the great magic tricks you share. We are so blessed to have you as our Dad and Gpa! The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, thank you for having such a great Son!
Love you Dad! Happy Father's Day!

The Peacock

Can't believe the weather, it has been wet and colder than a week ago
Have been working on Genealogy and tried a new recipe.
The peacock that lives in our back yard is so beautiful and noisy.
It flys up a short distance to a tree about in front about the same time each evening .
He has a special place to sit on the fence and look into the window.
I look forward to seeing him everyday.
Zachary said his name is Frank, no reason, just seemed to fit.
The animal controllady came by yesterday
wanting to know if he was ours,
I guess its noise is bothering someone.

Best Treat
It was a warm 55 degrees & we weren't as prepared as we'd hoped to be. Leland didn't mind being in Pink. But Maddy was concerned he was dirty-ing her poncho.

The Nerve! =) It was lots of fun and we all enjoyed being a little cooler than normal.

A Good Day!

Today everyone got something a little special.

Porter enjoyed a whole day with Dad on his Fieldtrip, his favorite part was when they bought ice cream and ate it at the store. Porter can't wait to show you his cool geologic purchase. I'm sure it has a name, but it's beyond me. =)

Haven enjoyed a lunchable at school, since Porter got one for his Fieldtrip Haven was sure she needed one to.

Maddy has had a busy day. We've watched 3 of her friends at different times. We made it to the park this Morning before it was melting hot, although we didn't last too long.

Love you Grandma, give Gpa a squeeze from us!

PS Everyone is feeling much better, hope to see you guys soon! What does Friday afternoon (the 16th) look like for you?
